Context: Cricket is the 2nd most popular sport in the world with over 2.5 billion fans

But there are many barriers to entry & participation:

  • It requires a lot of equipment such as helmets, pads, gloves, guards and more which tend to be very expensive

  • The sport cannot be played when it's raining or snowing

  • It is played with an extremely hard leather ball causing safety concerns for those playing and those in the vicinity

  • You typically need a huge outdoor circular field to play the sport with a designated 'pitch'

  • The time it takes to complete a game, or the complexity of rules!

Inclusive

Simple rules, easy to learn and designed for everyone. Batball is a lower-impact sport, allowing it to be played by any age group! We want everyone to play and enjoy the 2nd most popular sport in the world.

Play it anywhere, from basketball courts to baseball diamonds and football astroturfs. Batball can be played anywhere and doesn’t require special facilities and spaces (for now).
